The family of Dorothy Josephine Johnson has proven to be a lot of fun to work. Her father was from Sweden and with a little help from the folks in the Family History Library, I was able to move the line back several generations. Dorothy’s maternal line was both fun and frustrating. Her grandfather was from Sweden and his line has proven to be a real challenge – I may need a whole lot more help from the Family History Library with him. Her grandmother, on the other hand, was Ida Jane Tuttle. Ida descends from two of the oldest families in the United States. The lines are well documented and filled with fun stories. There were a few mysteries to be solved along the way, and I was happy to take care of those by providing solid source documents.
The Burgraff/Kortlever/Stek/Bel Page
The first page is up. The pedigree chart reflects where I am as of today in my research. What it does not show is all the work within the individual families and that will be coming in future posts. I’ll try to let everyone know where I’m at and what I have. Feel free to contact me and ask questions either through the contact me or by clicking on contacts below. As I add information the pedigree chart will be updated.
Welcome to Find My Dead
Today is the first post. I will be putting the site together over the next couple of weeks – so check back! The first tree that I will post will be on the Burgraff page.
